This is a small, specialized grease fitting for a machine tool application. It has three thru holes, a counterbore, and two milled radius forms. The dotted lines are CCS ("Contour Creation System") tolerance zones, which allow all hole sizes, hole locations, and milled shapes to be inspected instantly, in a single glance. Any edge that lies between the tolerance lines is within specifications. Any edge that crosses a tolerance line is a problem. Note that this method of checking holes indicates both position and size, and automatically includes maximum and minimum material conditions. For more detailed viewing, COVIS can zoom in to examine any portion of the image at higher magnification. The CCS tolerances automatically adjust to match the scale of the image.
